Capitalism Across America
is an organization dedicated to promoting the principals and benefits
of capitalism and preserving an economic system that will sustain
America for the next 200 years.
We salute profits, risk
takers, entrepreneurs, employers, big business, small business,
entire industries and The American Dream. We salute all American
companies that employ American workers. We not only embrace the
creation of wealth, but also expound on its virtues. We believe
profits are good and are needed to increase investments and more
employment.
We feel some have
vilified Capitalism to the point that many think it responsible for
all that ails America, instead of what it truly is – the best and
purest way for any person to achieve their dreams, and for America to
reach full employment.
We are not affiliated
with any political party and do not intend to endorse any political
candidates. We are tired of the politicians and press vilifying "big
business", "big oil", "the Exxons and Wal-Marts of the
world", "Wall Street" and "fat cats". We feel we are
blessed to live in a country that has spawned Boeing, Wal-Mart,
Microsoft, Google, Apple, McDonalds and Exxon-Mobil.
We believe Americans
should know that Exxon-Mobil employs over 82,000 Americans, who then
pay millions in taxes to the US treasury, donate millions each year
to the charities and scholarship funds, provides health care coverage
for a large percentage of its employees, pays billions in corporate
income taxes, and hired thousands of new employees last year. Exxon
is not owned by a Mr. Exxon, but is owned by its shareholders. There
are thousands of Americans who own at least one share of Exxon-Mobil,
and many of their shares are owned by teacher, police, and firemen’s
pension funds.
We are neither
anti-union or pro-union. We do not weigh in on government workplaces,
or social issues. We believe no matter what your ethnicity religion,
or gender, capitalism provides you the best way to achieve your
economic happiness.
